What do brewers do when they can't brew?

Yep, we're still roofless. But that's not keeping us from having some fun! A lot of you have asked what our brewers are doing now that they can't brew and thanks to our friends at GCG Marketing - who have captured brewers Austin Jones and Jason Lyon on film - you can see for yourselves. We hope to have a new video uploaded each Friday, so check back regularly. Enjoy!

Note: many people are asking when we plan to reopen and when we'll resume our Saturday and Wednesday tours. Unfortunately, we don't have a time-line completely nailed down yet - but rest assured, as soon as we have a date we’ll post the information here!

Brewery Update

We're taking a break from Wednesday and Saturday events this week as we work on future Wed/Sat events (we also need to spend some time with the family - those "And Sons" won't always be willing to spend spring break with their parents, so we need to take advantage of it while we can).

Our frequent guest brewers, James Lallande and Nick Goodman, helped us save a very special beer we had planned for a Wednesday tour before the roof collapsed...YES it’s back – at least in smaller 10 gallon batches (we have 3 of these!)...after 4 years...PECKER WRECKER is back! Stay tuned for the future location where this wonderful Imperial Pilsner will make its comeback appearance. We will update this page and our facebook page (www.facebook.com/rahrbrewing) as soon as our Wednesday and Saturday events are finalized.

Prosit!

Latest Brewery News

It all started with a groundhog.

After Punxsutawney Phil promised six more weeks of winter, Fritz Rahr decided to bribe the ‘weather gods’ into delivering sunny, blue skies by releasing our spring seasonal, Bucking Bock, early.

That didn’t work out so well.

It looks as if Mother Nature herself reached right into our brewery in an attempt to get her own free sample of Bucking Bock.

We are currently roofless and, as a result, operations are completely down. The good news is that we’re really good at weathering difficulties (pun completely intended) and we’ll be back up-n-running in no time.

We don’t have a solid timeline yet, since we’re still assessing the damage – but we will be producing beer as soon as possible (weather gods and Mother Nature willing).

We are grateful beyond words that no one was in the brewery when this happened. We lost some beer, but everyone is safe and that’s all that matters.

ATTENTION - The brewery is closed for repairs

We're working on repairs to the brewery so our doors are closed for now - but we can't imagine a weekend without our favorite people (Rahr supporters!) ...so plan to meet up with us at a BBQ joint located at 301 Stockyards Blvd, Fort Worth, TX 76164 between 1pm - 3pm this Saturday. We should have plenty of updates about the condition of the brewery - and the condition of the beer - by then.

It's our understanding that this location has a $5 parking fee - but the charge is refunded with the purchase of a meal.

It would do our hearts good to see some familiar, smiling faces! Hope to see you there!

On Tap Saturday!

ATTENTION VEGETARIANS!!! THIS IS YOUR WEEKEND!!! The restaurant named after the fair city of Chadra, Lebanon will serve their famous falafel (and gyros for the people who want a different sort of protein...) during the tour & tasting (1-3pm). On tap will be: Blonde, Red, Ugly Pug and Stormcloud. There's a rumor floating around the brewery that our next seasonal, Bucking Bock, might make an appearance too. Stop by Saturday to find out first-hand!
